We have just announced the date for the annual 7-a-side tournament.
For the sixth year running we are able to offer you the opportunity to play on the hallowed turf of Upton Park against the Boys of 86, former West Ham players and their celebrity guests, as well as having the once in a lifetime opportunity to change in West Ham’s home dressing room.
The event is open to both Teams and individuals.
The event will commence at 1pm when all teams meet over light refreshments
with tea and coffee, when Alvin Martin will run through the format for the day.
The first matches will kick off at 2pm and each team will be guaranteed to play at least one game against a Boy’s of 86 team.
Each team can have up to 11 players in their squad, although only 7 players from each team can be on the pitch at any one time with rolling substitutes. We will supply the shirts, shorts and socks for each team which you keep after the event, but please bring your own towels, shin pads and boots – moulded stud type only please.
After the grand final, at approximately 6pm, you will be able to enjoy the free bar in the Castle Suite. At 7.30pm the presentations will be made followed by dinner, evening entertainment, raffle and auction.
You are welcome to bring guests to the afternoon event, but if they would like to attend the evening function, tickets are £65.00 per person plus vat, which must be booked and paid for in advance of the 23rd May 2008.
No one will be admitted to the evening function
unless they are a listed player from the 7-a-side tournament or they have pre-booked an evening ticket.
We have managed to keep the cost the same as last year, which is a £3000.00 plus vat for a team of 11 players and individual players it is £300.00 plus vat. Individual players will be allocated a Team on the day.
A full itinery will be sent out nearer the time which will give you comprehensive details of the day together with a Team sheet that will need to be completed for the 23rd May.
